Job Overview

A well-established and highly respected full-service law firm in Ottawa is seeking an experienced Real Estate / Wills & Estates Lawyer to join its growing team. Serving clients throughout Ottawa and Eastern Ontario for over 50 years, the firm is known for its client-first approach, collaborative culture, and high professional standards.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience handling residential real estate transactions, wills and estates matters, and related solicitor work. This opportunity is ideal for a lawyer who values teamwork, professionalism, and long-term career growth within a reputable firm environment.

Responsibilities
  • Handle residential and commercial real estate transactions
  • Draft and review agreements, closing documents, and related legal paperwork
  • Prepare wills, powers of attorney, and estate planning documents
  • Assist clients with estate administration and probate matters
  • Provide practical legal advice tailored to client needs
  • Maintain strong client relationships and deliver excellent client service
  • Work collaboratively with lawyers and support staff across multiple practice areas
  • Manage files independently while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
Qualifications
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in real estate and wills & estates law
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

    Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively
  • Client-focused, professional, and team-oriented mindset
  • Experience with estate administration and probate matters is an asset
  • Bilingual English/French skills are considered an asset
