Senior Patent Agent Hybrid

Ericsson is seeking a Senior Patent Agent in Ottawa, ON, to drive innovation in patent management for 5G and AI technologies. Engage with a powerful patent portfolio and collaborate globally.

This critical role within Ericsson’s Intellectual Property Rights team requires you to navigate the complexities of patent prosecution and strategy. You will work with cutting-edge technologies while drafting applications and managing a rich portfolio. As you collaborate with inventors and academic collaborators, you will directly influence Ericsson's innovation pathway through effective licensing and litigation support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and draft complex patent applications

• Collaborate with researchers and patent professionals globally

• Oversee patent prosecution for a large portfolio

• Support licensing strategies and litigation cases

• Develop claim charts that illustrate patent claims

Requirements:

• Degree in a relevant technical field required

• Must be registered with CIPO and/or USPTO

• Experience in software or telecommunications is advantageous

• Strong verbal communication skills

• Capable of adapting to rapidly evolving technologies
