We're looking for an Operations Associate to join our Ottawa team and work directly with the City Manager to ensure our fleet and daily operations run smoothly.

The Role

As an Operations Associate, you'll be responsible for supporting day‑to‑day fleet operations, vehicle readiness, customer support, and field execution. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, working independently, and taking ownership of operational excellence.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring vehicles are available, clean, safe, and ready for customers while helping improve operational efficiency across the city.

Responsibilities
  • Support daily fleet operations across Ottawa
  • Coordinate vehicle movement, staging, and deployment
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and quality control checks
  • Ensure vehicles are cleaned, fueled/charged, and customer‑ready
  • Assist with fleet maintenance scheduling and vendor coordination
  • Monitor operational KPIs and report issues to the City Manager
  • Support customer issue resolution and field‑based troubleshooting
  • Track and manage vehicle documentation and compliance requirements
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams to improve operational performance
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce operational costs
Qualifications Required
  • 1+ years of experience in automotive, fleet management, transportation, logistics, operations, or a related field
  • Solid attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working both in the field and from an office environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Valid G‑class driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
  • Comfortable using mobile apps, spreadsheets, and operational software
Preferred
  • Experience in the car rental industry
  • Experience managing vehicle fleets or transportation operations
  • Customer service experience
