This role combines end‑to‑end Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) leadership with advanced strategic procurement for March Networks & Vivotek hardware. The director is accountable for aligning demand, supply, and financial plans while building and managing a world‑class supply base that enables successful product hardware build strategies with our global Contract Manufacturing partners, including Delta and Sanmina.
KeyresponsibilitiesS&OP / IBP ownership
- Architect, implement, and continuously improve the S&OP / IBP framework, calendar, and governance across Sales, Operations, Finance, Product, and Engineering.
- Define the S&OP key metrics including, standard templates, KPIs, and RACI to ensure a disciplined, repeatable process.
- Lead monthly demand, supply, and executive S&OP reviews; ensure decisions are translated into MPS/MRP, capacity plans, and commercial commitments.
- Integrate demand forecasts, supply plans, and financial plans to deliver revenue, service level, and inventory objectives while managing risk for both March Networks and Vivotek demand (SSS LOB)
- Benchmark and embed best practices, tools, and analytics to support scenario planning and decision quality.
- Lead development of a consensus demand plan by integrating sales input from March and Vivotek sales regions, market intelligence, and statistical forecasts, including NPI demand.
- Oversee forecasting methodologies, forecast accuracy and metrics, and demand risk/opportunity management.
- Lead Operations / Supply Chain to translate demand into capacity, supply, and inventory plans that meet service and working capital targets.
- Lead scenario planning for upside/downside demand, component constraints, customer priorities, inventory investment, and revenue recovery strategies
- Provide advanced procurement leadership to the Hardware Engineering organization throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept through volume production for Taipei, Poland, Milan and Ottawa design teams
- Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships across key hardware commodities, including Memory/SOC/ICs/processors, PCBs, connectors, fans, and electro‑mechanical components.
- Lead enterprise supply risk management including geopolitical, sanctions, tariff, lifecycle, allocation, and single‑source component risks while developing mitigation strategies.
- Act as the primary business interface between supply partners, Hardware Engineering, Product Line Management, and Operations.
- Lead component price negotiations and manage commercial release milestones to meet build schedules, cost, and margin objectives.
- Evaluate supplier capability, reliability, capacity, financial health, and cost competitiveness to support both NPI and long‑term supply strategies.
- Supports global contract manufacturing partners, including Delta, Sanmina, and future partners across North America, Europe, and Asia.
- Drive and negotiate cost model negotiations with existing and new outsource partners to maximize the SSS LOB’s margin contribution.
- Supports global third‑party and outsourced logistics locations for inventory management, configuration capabilities, and direct order fulfillment, including inbound, outbound, and intercompany shipment logistics.
