Bilingual Logistics Coordinator

Our client, a growing manufacturing company located on the east end of Ottawa, is seeking a bilingual Logistics Coordinator to join their team. This individual will be responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing freight costs, supporting cross-border transportation, and ensuring products are delivered efficiently and cost effectively.

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments, with a strong focus on Canada-U.S. freight.
• Obtain freight quotations and negotiate competitive transportation rates with carriers.
• Select the most cost-effective shipping methods while maintaining service requirements.
• Manage carrier relationships and resolve transportation issues.
• Prepare and review shipping, customs, and import/export documentation.
• Monitor tariffs, duties, and regulatory requirements related to cross-border shipments.
• Track shipments and provide updates to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Investigate freight discrepancies and resolve invoicing issues.
• Maintain accurate logistics records and reporting.
• Work closely with production, customer service, and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.

• Minimum 3 years of logistics, transportation, or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience coordinating domestic and cross-border shipments.
• Knowledge of freight management, carrier selection, customs, tariffs, and import/export processes.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to obtain competitive freight pricing.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual in English and French (written and verbal).
• Experience working with U.S. transportation and customs processes.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
