Position: Labourer (Asphalt Division) | #0017
Duties and Responsibilities
:
Assist in unloading trucks and gathering necessary tools and equipment for the day’s work.Transport rakes, lutes, shovels, and spray cans to the paver or designated work area.Sweep and clean the area in front of the paver, ensuring a clear and debris-free surface.Measure and mark out the designated area for paving, ensuring accurate and proper alignment.Occasionally act as a flagger to direct motorists away from the work zone, ensuring safety and traffic control.Perform shoveling tasks as required, including the movement and distribution of materials.Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and equipment, ensuring they are properly stored at the end of the day.Tamp and compact asphalt edges to ensure proper adhesion and stability.Clean up the work site by removing any debris or rubbish generated during the paving process.Requirements:
Valid Ontario Driver’s License5 years of experienceCavanagh

The hourly range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $28.00 and $35.00 per hour. However, the range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
