Hospital Environmental Services Cleaner

As a critical part of the CHEO team, you will maintain the safety and cleanliness of the hospital environments. Your responsibilities include scrubbing floors, washing furnishings, and supporting infection control practices. The role requires availability on weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts to ensure consistent care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Clean assigned areas using approved cleaning solutions
• Scrub, wax, and polish floors to maintain hygiene
• Dust windowsills, blinds, and furniture with vacuum cleaners
• Empty trash baskets and maintain recycling containers
• Make beds with fresh linen as prescribed
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent education
• Knowledge of sanitation and cleaning processes
• Experience in hospital cleaning preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills required
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
