Position: Housekeeping Aide Casual Role Extendicare
Become a vital part of Extendicare Medex in Ottawa as a Housekeeping Aide.

Your role will focus on cleaning and sanitizing both resident apartments and communal spaces to uphold health standards.

This part-time position offers shifts from 8 AM to 4 PM or 11 AM to 7 PM. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will utilize effective cleaning practices and adhere to policies regarding resident rights and input. You will participate in quality improvement programs and maintain safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed cleaning of apartments and common areas

• Use specialized cleaning equipment for efficient results

• Manage waste collection and disposal appropriately

• Review and document cleaning procedures as required

• Participate in in-service training and team meetings

Requirements:

• Strong oral and written English skills

• Background in commercial or healthcare cleaning preferred

• Able to perform duties with minimal supervision

• Must secure a Vulnerable Sector Check

• Additional language skills considered beneficial
