Church Custodian

Position: Church Custodian Needed
Ensure St. Thomas the Apostle Anglican Church in Ottawa remains clean and welcoming. This part-time Custodian role offers a chance to support vibrant community and worship activities.

In your Custodian role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of St. Thomas the Apostle Anglican Church's facilities. The role encompasses managing cleaning duties, preparing spaces for church events, and conducting inspections to ensure all safety regulations are met. You will coordinate with renters and community members to provide support during events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform cleaning duties throughout the church premises

• Lockup the church during rentals and after events

• Arrange furniture and prepare rooms for gatherings

• Conduct safety inspections and test fire alarms

• Report maintenance issues and undertake minor repairs

Requirements:

• Familiarity with cleaning protocols and equipment

• Must be able to lift and transport items up to 50 lbs

• Capability to work independently with moderate supervision

• Clear understanding of safety practices

• Police Records Check must be completed
