The Salvation Army is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker at its Ottawa Booth Centre. This position demands a proactive approach to general maintenance tasks, including repairs, vehicle checks, and building inspections. You will ensure the safety of clients and staff by maintaining fire alarms and security systems while also adhering to health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sweeping and garbage collection around the shelter

• Perform general repairs including patching and plumbing

• Conduct daily vehicle checks for safety compliance

• Assist in receiving and shipping goods at the dock

• Keep safety systems, including alarm systems, maintained

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• 1 to 3 years of general maintenance experience

• Knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, and painting

• Valid ‘G’ driver’s license with a clear abstract

• Current WHMIS certification
