What You’ll be Doing
- Cleans assigned school facilities (e.g. classrooms, offices, restrooms, gym, locker rooms, hallways, cafeteria, lobby, etc.) to maintain a sanitary, safe and attractive environment.
- Responds to immediate safety and/or operational concerns (e.g. facility damage, injured and ill students, alarms, etc.) to resolve safety issues and keep the educational environment functioning.
- Assists in coordinating facility usage (e.g. rentals, community groups, dances, sporting events, etc.) by providing custodial coverage.
- Arranges furnishings and equipment to prepare for meetings, classroom activities, and special events.
- Secures facilities and grounds (e.g. lights out, doors locked, check for cleanliness inside and outside your area, remove all trash, etc.) to minimize property damage, equipment loss, and liability.
- Salary: $24.69 - $27.59 per hour (depending on experience)
- Night Custodian shift hours: 3:00 p.m.
- 11:30 p.m. - Temporary position

Job related experience is desired.
The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some climbing and balancing, significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling, and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 5% sitting, 75% walking, and 20% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
