Event Set-up and Tear-down personnel assists in converting the ice rink into a stage for shows and performances and turn it back into an ice rink for hockey games. This is a shift work position over the day, evening, and week-end.
Job responsibilites
Remove the boards and glass around the ice rink and install the floor as required
Assist in setting-up the stage for performances
Fasten parts together using bolting and riveting equipment or other fastening and joining devices and perform minor adjustments as required
Remove and stack chairs and benches and transport them to the storage area
Operate dollies to transport or position larger parts as required
Clean the grounds after the performances
Job requirements
Must be able to show a good track record of previous employment stability and workplace reliability
Physically able to perform physical tasks during an extended period of time such as lifting at least 50 pounds
Capable of standing, walking and sitting for extended periods of time
Capable of manipulating a dolly and using basic tools
Good interpersonal skills
Must be willing to comply with health and safety policies and company standards
Fall Protection and WHMIS (will provide training)
Criminal background check mandatory
Use of car a definite advantage
