Lead Hand Road Maintenance

Position: Lead Hand for Road Maintenance
Join Webber as a Lead Hand in Ottawa, ensuring the maintenance of roadways and related assets. Utilize your leadership skills in snow removal and surface repair across seasons.
Reporting to the Area Supervisor, this role requires hands-on coordination of maintenance tasks, from snow clearing in winter to summer repairs of road surfaces and signage. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and a valid G Class License. You will oversee workers, manage traffic control, and ensure adherence to safety protocols every day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Remove snow using various equipment during winter months

• Repair and maintain surfaces, signs, and guardrails in summer

• Manage traffic control setups and removals as needed

• Transport crew and equipment safely to work sites

• Deliver daily Toolbox Talks and analyze job hazards
Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent education

• Valid G Class License with a good driving record

• Minimum of three years of outdoor maintenance experience

• Familiarity with traffic control methods and safety practices

• Strong computer skills, including Excel and Word
