As an overnight Train Cleaner, you will ensure the over-all cleanliness of our facilities to the highest level. The overnight shift is 1:30AM – 5:00AM.
Your work will include:
- Cleaning and sanitizing the interior of trains, including floors, seats, windows, walls, poles, doors, and driver cabs as required.
- Removing garbage, debris, and recyclable materials from train cars and disposing of waste in designated areas.
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and auto-scrubbing train floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces, including handrails, grab poles, buttons, door handles, and operator compartments.
- Restocking cleaning supplies and ensuring all equipment is maintained and ready for use.
- Performing exterior spot cleaning of trains, including windows, doors, and other accessible surfaces when required.
- Reporting any damage, vandalism, graffiti, spills, or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
- Operating cleaning equipment safely, including pressure washers, backpack vacuums, and other custodial tools.
- Following all safety procedures, company policies, and client standards while working in rail yards and maintenance facilities.
- Assisting with deep cleaning projects and other duties as assigned to ensure trains are ready for daily passenger service.

QualificationsWHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Floor care experience an asset (able to scrub, buff and polish floors)
- Able to operate cleaning equipment and machine
- Able to communicate with supervisor, Client and general public
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs
- A clear criminal background check is required for this role.
