Maintenance Aide

Extendicare is seeking a dedicated part-time Maintenance Aide to perform essential tasks that enhance resident care. Your responsibilities will include both preventive maintenance and occasional repairs while maintaining grounds.

The Maintenance Aide at Extendicare plays a critical role in ensuring a safe living environment for residents. You will be involved in various maintenance tasks including PM checks, conducting inspections, and executing minor repairs efficiently. Your proactive reporting of unsafe conditions will help us uphold high safety standards across our facilities in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine preventive maintenance checks

• Conduct thorough building inspections regularly

• Assist with moving furniture as required

• Engage in grounds maintenance activities

• Report any unsafe working conditions to supervisors

Requirements:

• Knowledge of maintenance best practices preferred

• Awareness of sanitation and infection control protocols
