Support Astoria Senior Apartments overnight as a part-time Janitor, combining institutional cleaning, laundry, reception, and emergency response duties.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this Janitor maintains resident common areas and supports reception services. The schedule runs from 12 AM to 8 AM at Cogir Senior Living’s Ottawa residence. The work includes cleaning and sanitization, answering calls, assisting visitors, and responding to resident needs professionally.
Key Responsibilities:- Clean and sanitize common areas according to assigned schedules
- Operate floor care machines and steam cleaning equipment
- Complete laundry, including washing, treating, and folding
- Answer calls, greet visitors, and direct inquiries
- Provide evening security and emergency response when required
- Knowledge of standard institutional cleaning techniques
- Commercial, residential, or healthcare cleaning experience desirable
- Excellent English communication skills, empathy, and patience
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Current Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening within six months
