Location: Eastern Ontario
Support clean, safe schools as a Temporary Itinerant Caretaker across Renfrew and Arnprior, with assignments determined daily by a Supervisor.
Reporting to Plant Services, you will clean school interiors and exteriors while inspecting facilities to maintain cleanliness standards. This full time temporary position covers multiple Board locations throughout Renfrew County. Responsibilities include custodial equipment upkeep, safety records, classroom checks, and support for school users and external groups.
Key Responsibilities:- Clean floors, walls, windows, washrooms, carpets, and fixtures
- Wax, strip, buff, mop, scrub, wash, and vacuum
- Remove garbage and recycling; move furniture and supplies
- Maintain required fire, lighting, water, and work order records
- Sand, salt, shovel, or plow walkways and parking areas
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma successfully completed
- Minimum one year commercial or institutional janitorial experience
- Ability to lift and carry loads up to 50 pounds
- Reliable transportation for itinerant assignments
- Knowledge of WHMIS, safety regulations, and custodial procedures
