Support overnight cleanliness and reception at Astoria Senior Apartments in Ottawa, using cleaning expertise and professional communication from midnight to 8 AM.
Cogir Senior Living seeks a full-time Janitor reporting to the Maintenance Manager. The work combines common-area cleaning, sanitation, reception coverage, and resident support. You will answer calls, direct visitors, handle mail, and respond to emergencies while maintaining assigned areas.
Key Responsibilities:- Run the front desk courteously and efficiently
- Answer calls and redirect inquiries professionally
- Greet, assist, and direct visitors
- Clean and sanitize common areas
- Respond to emergency systems and facility concerns
- Excellent English communication, empathy, and patience
- Knowledge of institutional cleaning techniques
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Current Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening within six months
