Project Manager – Ottawa, ON

Salary: $85,000–$130,000 per year
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Ottawa, ON (on-site, with travel to project sites)

Job Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to lead and oversee construction projects from planning through completion. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards, while coordinating teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders across multiple sites.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to)
  • Lead construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Develop, manage, and update project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients regarding project progress and requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
  • Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays or budget overruns.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Oversee procurement, material ordering, and logistics to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Facilitate meetings and maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, drawings, and correspondence.
  • Mentor and support project staff, ensuring effective collaboration and performance.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing construction projects, preferably in multi-site environments.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel to project sites on a regular basis.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on results.
