Lead Engagement Partner​/Chief Audit Executive

We are looking for a Lead Engagement Partner/Chief Audit Executive for our client who meets the following criteria:

• Location of Work:
  Hybrid, CDIC’s offices in Ottawa, Ontario

• The bidder must possess a minimum of ten (10) years of internal audit experience within the past fifteen (15) years, providing services such as those relevant to CDIC;
• The bidder must possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Partner Possess a relevant university degree(s) from a recognized Canadian University or an acceptable equivalent from a foreign institution (as determined by one of the agencies referred by the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials (‘CICIC’)
• The bidder must possess professional designation(s) that are relevant to the services and are in good standing as of the date the resource is proposed to CDIC. At a minimum, these designations must include a CPA and CIA
• The bidder must be independent of CDIC
• The bidder must be accountable for areas such as:
  • Developing a robust, risk-based audit plan on an annual basis in consultation with CDIC
  • Developing audit charters, recommending appropriate engagement resources, and overseeing and ensuring the quality of work completed during all engagements;
  • Ensuring assigned resources are highly skilled, meet the minimum qualifications for their category and are available to CDIC as and when required to execute the audit plan deliverables in accordance with the audit plan;
  • Communicating and interacting transparently and directly with the CRO and other members of CDIC’s executive team as well as members of CDIC’s Board of Directors;
  • Attending Audit Committee meetings to present deliverables and respond to Audit Committee member inquiries;
  • Providing guidance, direction and opinions to the CRO and Audit Committee on complex issues; and
  • Reviewing and approving recommendations and final reports.
