Elevate Carleton University's mission as Vice President of Advancement. Lead transformative fundraising efforts, strengthen alumni relations, and drive impactful community engagement strategies.
Reporting to the President and Vice-Chancellor, you will spearhead fundraising and donor engagement strategies.
Your role as chief advancement executive includes developing a comprehensive strategy that fosters alumni connections and expands philanthropic support. Collaborating with various stakeholders, including the Board of Governors and academic leaders, you will enhance Carleton’s culture of philanthropy while advancing academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee comprehensive fundraising strategies and campaigns
• Build and maintain relationships with donors and alumni
• Develop advancement communications and engagement initiatives
• Lead a team of advancement professionals for optimal performance
• Advise on institutional sustainability and external engagement
Requirements:
• Proven experience in securing major transformational gifts
• Leadership in comprehensive fundraising campaigns
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Background in higher education or mission-driven environments
• Commitment to collaboration and community engagement
