Events and Meetings Manager

Lead national events and meetings for CCA in Ottawa’s hybrid work environment, using project management and supplier negotiation skills daily.

The Manager, Events and Meetings oversees CCA’s conferences, retreats, Board meetings and events. This leadership role manages logistics, budgets, suppliers and on-site delivery across the national events portfolio. You will coordinate internal teams, senior leadership, speakers and external partners while improving event processes and attendee experiences.

• Lead planning and execution of CCA meetings, conferences and events
• Develop event work plans, timelines, critical paths and budgets
• Oversee venues, accommodation, registration, audiovisual production and on-site delivery
• Identify risks, develop contingency plans and resolve event challenges
• Evaluate events and recommend operational improvements

• Five to seven years managing conferences, events and meetings
• Experience with complex multi-day conferences and executive meetings
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, reporting and supplier negotiation experience
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating internal and external resources
• Availability for domestic and occasional international travel
