Operations Manager

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and overall performance of the property. This individual ensures that building systems, facilities, and operational services are maintained to the highest standards while supporting the property's business objectives.

Combining strong technical knowledge with hands-on leadership, the Operations Manager oversees the operational team, manages resources and external service providers, and ensures the effective delivery of maintenance, repair, and improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and performance of the property.
• Lead, supervise, and support the operations team, ensuring clear priorities and effective coordination.
• Ensure building systems and infrastructure operate efficiently and are maintained to established standards.
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs to support asset reliability and long-term building performance.
• Manage operating budgets, monitor expenses, and allocate resources effectively.
• Coordinate external service providers and contractors, ensuring quality of work, efficiency, and compliance with established standards.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, internal policies, and health and safety requirements.
• Maintain effective relationships with tenants, internal departments, and external partners to address operational needs.
• Coordinate maintenance, repair, and improvement projects while identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
• Oversee responses to building emergencies and unforeseen situations, ensuring appropriate coordination and timely resolution.

The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of experience in building operations, facilities management, or a related field, including a minimum of 7 years in a supervisory or management position. They have strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building systems and experience managing maintenance activities in a complex property environment.

The candidate demonstrates strong leadership and organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a hands-on approach.
