Job Description
We are currently hiring a Test Operator to join the Ottawa Manufacturing and Operations team.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform Vibration and ESS set up for any product utilizing all of the Environmental equipment. Product failures are referred to a technician, technologist or test engineer.Perform movement of Expansion headers as required between chambers. Help Prioritize products through the ESS environment to meet schedules, and utilize equipment.Perform Go-No-Go testing on units and assemblies of simple to most complex nature utilizing automated equipment whereby procedures are clearly defined and user interaction requires some judgement and interpretation. Failures are referred to a technician, technologist or test engineer. This testing does not include tuning of RLC or any other circuit, nor does it involve using a oscilloscope or other specialty equipment for manual measurements.
DMM may be used for Resistance and Voltage measurements. Any and all anomalies are referred to a technician, technologist or test engineer.Performs programming on assemblies using automated equipment and automated procedures.For product and equipment of a simple to a complex nature: assemble, repair and operate electronic and electromechanical equipment from detailed procedures, assembly drawings and manufacturing instructions.Ability to work from engineering sketches, unreleased procedures, assembly drawings & Parts List, Product Design Changes (PDC), Process Routing Sheets, and informal instructions.Ability to follow assembly documentation and instructions to rework and/or repair simple to most complex tasks.Complete “buddy checks” as part of the quality control process.Adhere to workmanship standards & procedures to produce quality products. Responsible to record and report quality data in company standard quality tracking systems.Accountable for completion of work orders on time.Completes assigned tasks within expected productivity outputs.Communicate, prioritize & multitask to achieve team goals.Qualifications
Equivalent to a Grade 12 level of education at an Ontario Secondary school.Must have crane and hoist certification.Over 4 years up to and including 6 years of experience.Complexity
Computer skills to locate and retrieve data and/or documentation. Ability to use other computer applications as required to support task execution.Demonstrate capability to perform Mechanical assy, Ditmco, GNG testing, VIB, ESS set up, and chamber set-up (exp. Headers)) of a simple to most complex, while meeting quality standards and defined productivity output.Occasionally required to assemble from drawings.Expected to manage irregularities and work with the manufacturing or engineering support staff in resolution of irregularities.Will be expected to deal with frequent priority changes, will need to make some judgement calls as to product priorities.Initiative and Accountability
Ability to identify, root cause of manufacturing issues and or equipment failures, provides recommended solutions to support staff.Takes initiative in participating and supporting the team to continuously improve team goals.Demonstrates some problem solving abilities related to product, equipment, process and quality.Demonstrate the ability to prioritize & multitask within the team to achieve team goals, understanding that the decision made will directly impact other teams and could delay shipments, could damage equipment or if improper set up done could be a safety issue.Flexible to move within teams and roles, as required, to support overall company objectives.Use weekly dispatch reports to manage priorities of…
