Adecco is currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler for a full-time temporary opportunity based in Ottawa. This role is ideal for a hands-on and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced production and warehouse environment.
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling prefabricated components into subassemblies and completing final product assembly. You will play a key role in ensuring products are built accurately, efficiently, and according to specifications. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow technical instructions, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
  • Location: Ottawa, ON (Kanata)
  • Salary: $19.00 per hour
  • Job Type: Full-time | Temporary
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday | 7:30 a.m.

    - 3:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
  • Mechanical assembly of prefabricated parts to form subassemblies
  • Complete final assembly consisting of various subassemblies
  • Cut and trim metal and plastic parts as required
  • Fasten components using a variety of adhesives and mechanical fasteners
  • Read and interpret work instructions and technical drawings to meet specified requirements
  • Use a barcode scanner and computer for record-keeping and internal communications
  • Perform team lifts of up to 77 pounds as required
  • Pack finished products for shipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or assembly environment considered an asset
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings and work instructions
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with strong attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and barcode scanning
  • Ability to lift up to 77 pounds in a team lift environment
  • Steel toe footwear is required
  • Strong teamwork skills and reliability
