Preload Package Handler

UPS is hiring a Preload Package Handler at their Kanata, Ontario facility. This position is responsible for loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, and stocking packages. The role may involve the use of heavy machinery and requires working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

• Workdays:
  Monday to Friday (must be available all 5 days)

  4:30 AM to 9:30 AM (flexibility with start and finish times required)
• Shift Duration: 3–5 hours per day
• Minimum 25 hours per week

• Learn and properly execute UPS package handling methods
• Load and unload UPS packages into trailers or package cars
• Sort and stock packages based on postal code
• Operate heavy machinery as required
• Complete additional tasks as assigned Qualifications
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs/32 kgs
  • Ability to read and memorize postal codes
  • Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
  • Must be able to work 25 hours per week
  • Warehouse experience preferred
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
  Compensation & Benefits
  • $18.30/hr ($17.30 + $1.00 hourly bonus) with automatic progression to $30.09/hr after 48 months
  • Weekly pay via direct deposit every Friday
