About the role

  • Lead a sub‑team of integration and test (I&T) engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Lead the development, review, and deployment of a test and trial program for the range services of the land‑based test facility, including commissioning, integration testing, dock acceptance testing, sea acceptance testing, and operational test and evaluation.
  • Manage post‑installation inspections, commissioning, and verification of equipment readiness.
  • Develop, author, and execute test documentation to verify the operation of integrated systems/software.
  • Manage the documentation of test results in the Test Management System (TMS).
  • Manage defect reports and related documentation.
  • Oversee test report reviews, including analysis of collected data, and report findings to key stakeholders as required.
  • Manage planning and execution of acceptance activities.
  • Manage development of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and ensure alignment with the contract Statement of Work (SOW).
  • Manage the development and maintenance of the test sequence network and the time‑phased test sequence network, and align these with the integrated master schedule.
  • Manage implementation of model‑based testing methodology and traceability.
  • Identify, mitigate, and communicate I&T risks, ensuring proactive risk management.
  • Represent the I&T team at defined program meetings, stakeholder communications, and required technical presentations.
  • Review and assess supplier technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Ensure configuration control of tested systems, including version tracking and test baselines.
  • Define and report test progress and readiness indicators.
  • Ensure cost accounting to support the program's business rhythm.
  • Participate in training activities and gain knowledge of complex warfare systems.
What you will bring to the role

A post‑secondary degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience (military or civilian) of 0 to 2 years.

  • Experience in integration and test (I&T), ideally within engineering or defense programs.
  • Ability to lead I&T activities within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • High degree of initiative and autonomy.
  • An ethical and respectful approach that contributes positively to the team environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to adapt to flexible work hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Must be able to obtain a NATO Secret security clearance in a timely manner.
  • Experience in integrated test and evaluation within a naval program (desired).
  • Experience operating the Combat Management System (CMS 330) (considered an asset).
  • I&T experience including an understanding of the Verification Cross‑Reference Matrix (VCRM).
  • Working knowledge of IBM DOORS (considered an asset).
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology (considered an asset).
  • Experience in software development and testing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Familiarity with Linux.
  • Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and Windchill.
  • Good planning skills.
  • Experience reviewing technical documents.
