Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Operations for the Grain Elevator and Crops Divisions, this position is responsible for operating and controlling equipment to support agricultural activities. This position is also responsible for ensuring that received products are stored appropriately and ensuring a clean work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate computerized grain handling systems and related equipment.
  • Grade and assess grain quality in accordance with company and industry standards.
  • Load and fill trucks safely and efficiently while ensuring accuracy of product handling.
  • Assist with general maintenance and upkeep of elevator facilities and equipment as required.
  • Support the elevator operations team and provide assistance with maintenance projects as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain a clean working environment.
  • Extended hours, as required, during the busy season.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds or can obtain certification for working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Holds a valid forklift operator certification or can obtain one.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in grain elevator operations or in a related field.
  • Ability to climb ladders, kneel for extended periods, and lift over 50 lbs.
  • Is bilingual – French and English.
  • Has a good driving record.
  • Possessing an “AZ” license will be considered an asset.
