Excel in a Chemical Technician position within the Tomlinson Industrial Waste Division in Ottawa. This role prioritizes safety and compliance around chemical waste processing.
We are looking for a Chemical Technician to support our Industrial Waste team s position involves implementing safety protocols, performing waste checks, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Responsibilities also include sample collection and participation in spill response activities, ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Understand and apply safety regulations during operations
• Safety checks and preparation for daily tasks
• Classify and package chemical waste accurately
• Inspect and load materials for transportation
• Act as first responder for spill incidents
Requirements:
• College diploma or university degree in related field
• At least 3 years of experience with hazardous waste
• Must hold a valid Class G license
• Ability to obtain Reliability security clearance
• Familiarity with environmental regulations preferred
