IC System Architect

Position: IC System Architect at Semtech
Become a pivotal member of Semtech’s Signal Integrity Products group as an IC System Architect in Ottawa. Collaborate on high-performance optical networking designs supporting vital hyperscale applications.

This senior role requires integration with analog, digital, and firmware teams to ensure project feasibility and drive optimal circuit-level architecture. You will participate in defining system requirements and verifying implementations throughout the design process. A strong focus on IC modeling and signal processing algorithms will drive performance for 5G and fiber optics markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess system requirements for targeted applications

• Map requirements to integrated circuit functions

• Collaborate to achieve performance and cost efficiencies

• Conduct preliminary feasibility studies for critical circuits

• Model ICs and components to forecast performance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or relevant field

• 10 years of IC development experience in communications

• Proficiency in high-speed analog and mixed-signal design

• Knowledge of channel simulation techniques

• Understanding of signal equalization for multi-gigabit systems
