Packaging Supervisor IL

Lead production efforts as a Packaging Supervisor in Ottawa, IL, with a focus on effective team management and Lean Manufacturing initiatives. Oversee daily operations, empower your team, and ensure quality standards are met.

This full-time role operates Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM. You will partner with the Planning team to translate production demands into actionable work orders. Managing a team of 15, you'll drive continuous improvement while ensuring tasks align with skills and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Convert production demand into actionable schedules

• Supervise and train a team of approximately 15 employees

• Promote Lean Manufacturing practices and initiatives

• Manage inventory and material processes

• Perform transactions within the ERP system

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing

• Experience in consumer products or food packaging

• Strong knowledge of ERP systems

• Training in Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing

• Proficient in label software such as Bartender or Zebra Designer
