Adecco is currently hiring an Electronics Test Technician for a full-time temporary opportunity in Ottawa West, ON. This role is ideal for an experienced electronics technician with a background in manufacturing testing who enjoys working with automated test equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring products meet the highest quality standards.
In this position, you will perform product testing, environmental stress screening, and acceptance testing while supporting production quality and collaborating with engineering teams to continuously improve testing processes.
  • Pay Rate: Starting at $20/hour, based on experience
  • Location: Ottawa West, ON
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM (must be willing to support rotating shifts as required)
  • Employment Type: Full-Time | Temporary Contract (until the end of December 2026)

Responsibilities
  • Set up, configure, and perform product testing using automated test equipment and established test procedures.
  • Perform Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) on a variety of electronic products.
  • Conduct JTAG testing and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) testing as required.
  • Test products according to specifications outlined in work instructions and WIP trackers.
  • Identify and report non-conforming products and provide technical feedback to the Test Engineering Support team.
  • Complete all required logs, reports, and production documentation accurately.
  • Set up and remove test equipment while maintaining proper calibration and organization.
  • Attend product-specific testing and technical training sessions.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance product quality, efficiency, and workflow.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following company safety procedures.
  • Support production requirements, including rotating shifts when required.
Qualifications
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Electronic Technician diploma or equivalent post-secondary education.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience performing electronic testing and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with test procedures, work instructions, and supporting technical documentation.
  • Hands-on experience testing electronic products using equipment such as graphics cards, motherboards, and RTMs.
  • Experience performing ESS chamber testing.
  • Strong technical aptitude and computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with DOS operating systems and Windows environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing production schedules.
  • Experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
  • Experience using SAP is considered an asset.
