As a Welder II reporting to the Welding Supervisor, you will leverage your advanced knowledge to troubleshoot complex production challenges. Key responsibilities include setting up fabrication fixtures, interpreting fabrication drawings, and performing visual inspections to ensure quality standards. You will also play a crucial role in training new colleagues on departmental procedures while operating welding equipment effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Fabricate products according to specifications and quality standards
• Set up and maintain production fabrication fixtures
• Perform in-process visual and mechanical inspections
• Utilize manufacturing computer systems for operational tasks
• Train incoming employees on welding and inspection procedures
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5+ years welding experience, 3+ years directly in MIG/TIG
• Preferred post-secondary education as a Welder/Fitter
• Certification in MIG Aluminum/Steel (CWB) an asset
• Experience in high-volume production settings
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and symbols
