The Site Coordinator – Materials oversees all material flows for the site, ensuring that every input is planned, received, inventoried, and available for production needs. This role serves as the site’s central point of contact for material inquiries, coordinating across planning, procurement, supply chain, production, and logistics teams to maintain uninterrupted operations. The coordinator analyzes inventory and cost data to recommend improvements in material efficiency, storage, and process optimization, while maintaining 100% inventory accuracy through cycle counts and ERP transactions.
Success in this role is measured by production uptime, inventory integrity, and the effective planning of site resources.
- 1. Responsible for the site’s material supply as planned through the Finite Schedule, ensuring material availability for production and manufacturing runs. Ensure material run outs or controllable downtime do not occur at any time.
- 2. Responsible for the site’s non-cannabis material supply, including PPE, office/sundry supplies, etc.
- 3. Ensure inventory accuracy is maintained at 100%; work with cross-functional Coordinators and leadership to reconcile variances and provide explanations when needed.
- 4. Generate inter-site purchase orders (IPO’s) through the ERP for the site.
- 5. Plan, coordinate, and execute month-, quarter-, and year-end counting activities for consumable inventory; ad-hoc counts as necessary.
- 6. Maintain Subject Matter Expert (SME) status for all inventory related functions within ERP and site.
- 7. Train employees on appropriate inventory management, inventory control, and transactional items
- 8. Become the single point of contact for site material inquiries and escalated inventory investigations.
- 9. Represent the site Logistics team as a Super User for the ERP and related inventory systems.
- 10. Generate inventory reports and summarize data for different audiences and requirements.
- 11. Recommend improvements to our inventory processes and systems to reduce cost, improve service levels with cross-functional teams, and continuously improve.
- 12. Provide support to the site Logistics team as needed to maintain departmental operations (general warehouse duties) and provide temporary supervisory support during Supervisor’s absence.
- 13. Proactively communicate inventory challenges and opportunities with relevant departments.
- 14. Create, manage, revise, and deliver training on inventory related Standard Operating Procedures, Job Aids, or other controlled documentation as part of a complex Quality Management System.
- 15. Other inventory and logistics tasks as assigned.
- 1. 2+ years experience working in an Inventory, Logistics, or Supply Chain role
- 2. 2+ years experience working with complex data sets, preferably within an ERP/WMS/TMS
