DEW Engineering and Development is seeking a Welder II with expertise in advanced welding techniques, including MIG and TIG. Contribute to our military and commercial projects in a supportive work environment.
Reporting directly to the Welding Supervisor, this role requires an advanced understanding of fabrication procedures and the capability to resolve complex production issues. You will be responsible for reading fabrication drawings, performing in-process inspections, and utilizing various welding processes to fabricate high-quality products. Additionally, training new staff on welding protocols will be part of your duties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Fabricate quality products while adhering to safety standards
• Set up and inspect production welding fixtures
• Conduct visual and mechanical inspections of assemblies
• Maintain welding equipment and troubleshoot as necessary
• Assist with training new welding employees
Requirements:
• At least 5 years of relevant welding experience, with 3 years in MIG/TIG
• Welder/Fitter certification preferred
• Certification in MIG Aluminum/Steel highly regarded
• Familiarity with high-volume production environments
• Strong ability to interpret blueprints and welding symbols
