Who you are:

You are a professional engineer with strong expertise in nuclear transportation safety, certification, and regulatory compliance. You demonstrate sound judgment and attention to detail when conducting technical assessments and managing multiple complex files within strict timelines. You are committed to continuous learning and can adapt to evolving regulatory, technical, and operational requirements. You work effectively both independently and collaboratively, providing expert advice, training, and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.

What you’ll do:

As a Senior Certification Engineer, you will:

  • Conduct engineering safety assessments of certification submissions for transport packages, Class II prescribed equipment, and radiation devices.
  • Support compliance inspection activities including transport and radiation device operations, manufacturing, maintenance and servicing arrangements,quality assurance programs.
  • Provide technical expertise during transport emergencies and enquiries.
  • Provide advice, training, and guidance to CNSC staff, government partners, and stakeholders.
