Material Handler (7:00 am to 3:30 pm
As part of the Materials group, under general supervision, carry out semi-routine tasks in support of both the Materials Handling and Inventory Control functions. Works with clearly established procedures to perform duties.
Location: Ottawa, ONSalary Range: $38,200 - $50,900

- Processing material at count areas
- Delivery of material to stockrooms, including verification and maintaining First-in-first-out policy
- Perform variety of kitting and order picking functions
- Maintaining policies and procedures, training others as required
- Recommend process improvements
- Perform Cycle Count activities
- Picking kits and delivering raw and semi-finished materials to the production floor
- Putting stock away in the warehouse
- Preparing all related documents in strict accordance with current corporate procedures
- Cycle count inventory
- Resolving discrepancies, and recommending changes to processes to reduce future discrepancies
- Maintenance of warehouse environment
- Generally requires some Secondary School education, and 2-4 years’ experience in a warehouse environment, or equivalent
- 2+ years of SAP
- Material kitting and stockroom experience
- Good computer skills
- Strong team player
- Ability to manage priorities
- Accuracy and quality of work
- Strong customer service skills
- Good working knowledge of English
- Ability to lift heavy objects (minimum 30 pounds)
