Join Voith Paper as a Grinding Operator in Hawkesbury, Ontario, where you'll ensure precision in the production of specialized roll covers for the paper industry. This role focuses on machine operation and quality assurance.
As a Grinding Operator, you'll work under the Production Supervisor’s guidance, performing various grinding tasks and inspections. This entry-level role offers growth opportunities for mechanically inclined candidates without the need for prior experience. Your work will directly impact our high standards in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect roll journals and report any damage
• Align and stabilize cylinders for grinding operations
• Ensure specifications match work orders accurately
• Select grinding tools and adjust settings accordingly
• Engage and program the grinding machinery
Requirements:
• Previous operator experience is beneficial but not required
• Basic familiarity with computer data entry
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance
• Must be bilingual in English and French
• Availability for day and afternoon rotating shifts
