Maximize efficiency at The Safariland Group as a Cutting Operator in Arnprior, ON. This vital role is responsible for ensuring precise cutting of fabric in adherence to product specifications.
In this position, you will apply your cutting experience and attention to detail to support production lines by supplying defect-free fabric pieces. Your ability to manage materials and maintain quality standards will have a direct impact on production flows. You must possess manual dexterity and basic fabric knowledge to excel.
Key Responsibilities:
• Load fabric onto cutting tables with proper techniques
• Identify the right sides and characteristics of fabrics
• Stage materials in the correct product lines
• Conduct inspections for defects and quality assurance
• Maintain fabric tracking reports and manage waste separation
Requirements:
• 13 months to 2 years of cutting or sewing experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math abilities for measuring fabrics accurately
• Competence with manual cutters and drills
• Detail-oriented with a positive approach
