Want to Design Web Experiences That Are Both Beautiful AND Perform?

At Split Base, great design and solid conversion rates aren't a trade‑off. The pages that perform best are also the ones that feel on‑brand and intentional, and that's the bar we hold.

We're hiring a top‑tier Landing Page & CRO Web Designer to create premium, on‑brand experiences that move real revenue for 8‑ and 9‑figure ecommerce brands. If you believe great design and ecommerce performance belong together, this is the role you've been waiting for.

About Split Base — The Conversion Optimization Agency Behind Some of the Fastest‑Growing DTC Brands

We partner with $10M to $250M+ direct‑to‑consumer brands to drive real revenue growth through full‑business CRO. Our clients include brands like Dr. Squatch, Amika, and Transparent Labs; companies that don’t have time for guesswork and trust us to uncover what truly moves their metrics.

  • We’ve helped clients unlock $100M+/year in additional revenue through testing and experimentation.
  • We’re leaders with the "Conversion‑Focused Website Redesign" approach, where design decisions are based on data, not opinions.
  • 95% of our retainer clients renew their initial contracts, many for years.
What makes Split Base different?

We’re not another design agency with a CRO add‑on. Our entire business is built around strategy‑driven, research‑backed experimentation that impacts conversion rates, AOV, and LTV. That means design here is a strategic lever, not decoration.

You won’t be handed a template and told to fill it in. You’ll interpret a brand, extend it thoughtfully, and create original experiences that feel premium and perform. We expect our team to use AI to work faster and think bigger, not to replace the craft.

About the Role:

Landing Page & CRO Web Designer

You’ll design landing pages and A/B test variations that feel on‑brand and intentional, communicate value instantly, and follow real usability principles. Some tasks will be full‑page designs, others will be iterations of existing elements.

This is not a generic UI role. We’re looking for someone who understands brand systems and visual identity, and pairs that with a deep respect for data and conversion outcomes.

Your core responsibilities
  • Translate brand strategy, visual identity, and positioning into high‑performing landing page designs that feel native to the brand, not like CRO templates
  • Own layout, typography, color, hierarchy, and visual rhythm to elevate perceived value and trust
  • Design pages and variations rooted in user motivation, objections, and behavior, applying CRO principles without compromising brand integrity
  • Partner with CRO Strategists to design hypothesis‑driven A/B test variations, then iterate based on test results and qualitative feedback
  • Work closely with strategists, researchers, and developers, and clearly articulate your design rationale to internal teams and clients
Why this role matters

You’re not just making things look good. Your design decisions directly influence millions in ecommerce revenue. The pages you create help our clients scale while sharpening Split Base’s reputation as the best in the game.

What Separates A‑Players From B‑Players in This Role
  • Treat conversion and brand as partners, not opposites
  • Make strong creative decisions that balance originality with clarity and usability
  • Explain exactly why a design choice supports both brand perception and conversion
  • Adapt your approach across wildly different brand personalities
  • Push back when a CRO idea would hurt brand trust, look, and feel
  • Bring new ideas to the table constantly, no hand‑holding required
  • Use AI tools to move faster and explore more directions, without letting output drift into generic, templated work
Must‑have experience
  • 3+ years designing landing pages, ecommerce experiences, or CRO‑focused pages
  • A portfolio that shows strong brand understanding, not just clean UI
  • Experience working within established brand systems and extending them tastefully
  • Figma fluency (required)
  • Familiarity with CRO concepts and A/B testing workflows
  • Comfort using AI design and productivity tools as part of your daily workflow
  • Bonus: basic understanding of HTML/CSS or design systems
