Summer Social Media Assistant Position

Shape communication strategies as a Social Media and Communications Assistant at Digital Arts Resource Centre for Summer 2025. Engage in exciting events and help promote local media arts.

This assistant role, reporting to the Engagement and Mobilization Manager, focuses on enhancing DARC's outreach through vivid social media representation and event support, especially for the annual screening event RESOLUTION. You'll be actively involved in the marketing plan execution, allowing your creative voice to shine through newsletters, social media posts, and other communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture and create content during live events

• Develop and execute communication strategies for social media

• Bring new ideas to the team and implement feedback

• Draft newsletters, press releases, and social content

• Assist with special projects for event marketing

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Google Business Suite and design tools

• Strong ability to communicate with partners and the media

• Well-organized with the ability to multi-task

• Familiarity with social media and content strategies

• Dedicated to Ottawa's media arts community
