In this vital role, you will provide communication support to regional command staff and unit commanders. Your expertise in media relations, event coordination, and public engagement will drive effective communication strategies. Prepare briefing notes, coach spokespeople, and utilize digital tools to produce engaging content while managing contentious policing issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement media relations activities across the East Region

• Develop and deliver training for spokespeople on media strategies

• Research and draft briefing notes on current media issues

• Coordinate events and public engagements for better outreach

• Utilize digital tools to create compelling presentations

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario driver’s license for travel requirements

• Strong knowledge of policing operations and current media trends

• Skilled in public engagement and event coordination

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and online publishing platforms

• Ability to pass an OPP background/security investigation
