As a Communications and Policy Analyst, you will report to the Executive Director and drive coherent communication strategies for the Board's initiatives. Your responsibilities will include crafting public-facing materials, executing communications plans, and translating complex policies into accessible language. Understanding fish and wildlife management issues is essential for supporting accurate communications and sound advice to various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategic communications plans
• Draft engaging public notices and reports
• Maintain website and social media content
• Support media relations and public engagement
• Produce materials clarifying Board recommendations
Requirements:
• Degree in communications, public policy, or a related field
• Minimum five years in communications or policy settings
• Exceptional writing and analytical skills
• Experience in public engagement and relationship building
• Knowledge of Yukon wildlife management issues
