Communications ConsultantWe are actively seeking
Communications Consultants. The ideal candidates are senior Communications Consultants with a minimum of 5 years experience
within the federal government.The required services may include, but are not limited to the following:
planning, researching, modifying, assisting, writing and/or reviewing memos, scripts, plays, essays, speeches, manuals and other non-journalistic articles with conformance to established standardsdeveloping and implementing strategic communication plans in geographically dispersed organizations going through an organizational transformation (change management)providing communications consultation advice to support strategic communications initiatives and strategiescreating communications support materialsdeveloping and implementing creative communication and information products using a variety of tools, techniques and media and selecting an appropriate medium to convey information, ideas, and resultsdeveloping and implementing communication strategies and planspreparing reports for specific purposes using clear, communicative, and professional language (for example, audit reports, management letters, consulting reports, financial reports)determine target audiences in order to better develop messagesprovide advice on matters relating to policy/program development approaches or options and communications planning alternatives (internal or external)researching, developing and implementing communications strategies involving social media and related content (that is blogs, microblogs, wikis, crowdsourcing, content communities, social networks, etc.)provide support and assist communicators in using social media channels to complement traditional channelsDesired Skills and Experience (must be clearly demonstrated in Resume/CV)University Degree in a related field or a Certification and an appropriate combination of experience and expertise - a preference will be given to candidates with specializations in related fields;A minimum of five (5) cumulative years for Intermediate and ten (10) cumulative years for Senior of demonstrated communications experience, demonstrating the ability to provide client references for each project identified;Expert level proficiency with MS Suite of tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;A minimum of five (5) years working with the Federal Government of Canada including departments and agencies; andThe ability to provide copies of all Education, Certifications and Training for contract award purposes.Security ClearanceCandidates must be eligible for a valid Government of Canada security clearance to a minimum of Level I - Enhanced Reliability.
In order to meet this requirement, candidates must be Canadian Citizens, having lived in Canada for a minimum of five (5) years. Candidates residing outside of Canada or those who have not resided in Canada for a minimum of five (5) years will not be given consideration.
