Help shape cancer care advocacy as a Communications Coordinator with the Canadian Cancer Society. Utilize your media expertise in a hybrid working environment.
In this role, you will be integral to the Strategic Communications team, focusing on expanding CCS’s reach and storytelling capabilities. This position requires strong writing skills and the ability to foster relationships with Canadian media outlets while supporting various communications initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the main contact for national media interactions
• Proactively monitor and report on media coverage
• Establish relationships with influential Canadian journalists
• Coordinate media interviews and provide necessary training
• Assist in crafting compelling media materials
Requirements:
• Minimum 1-year experience in communications fields
• Post-secondary education in journalism, PR, or related area
• Familiarity with media analytics tools like Cision
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills
• Bilingualism in both English and French is a plus
