Support newcomer youth in Canada as a Child and Youth Worker this summer de immigrant youth aged 13 to 24 towards positive integration and community engagement.
This eight-week summer position is focused on fostering safe spaces for immigrant and refugee youth. As a Child and Youth Worker, you will guide them while developing community networks and sharing Canadian cultural knowledge. You'll orchestrate activities and present workshops to enhance their experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer guidance and information to immigrant and refugee youth
• Facilitate program activities that resonate with youth needs
• Lead weekly sessions in schools and community locations
• Conduct workshops on relevant youth topics
• Record client data for statistical reports
Requirements:
• Aged 15-30 at start of employment
• Must be a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident
• Experience with diverse cultural backgrounds
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Fluency in English, additional languages an asset
