Hybrid Student Position in Communications

Location: Chalk River

Pursue your passion for effective communication through the Communications & Indigenous Engagement Student role at CNL in Chalk River, Ontario. This hybrid position allows you to support public communications and engage with Indigenous communities.

CNL is looking for a first-year student from fields like Political Science, Canadian Law, or Environmental Studies for a four-month internship. You will learn about public relations and participate in developing materials that foster community connections and promote environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help at information booths and community tours

• Prepare communication materials for outreach

• Contribute to the development of accessible documents

• Shadow team members in engagement activities

• Undertake other assigned responsibilities

Requirements:

• Must be pursuing a related degree

• Experience with Indigenous relations preferred

• Proficient communication skills necessary

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite needed

• Security clearance eligibility required based on history
