Kehillat Beth Israel, Ottawa’s largest Conservative synagogue, is looking for a part-time Youth and Family Programming Director to enhance youth initiatives from early childhood to grade 12. This role involves creating dynamic programs that resonate with children and families while ensuring they feel valued and included in congregational life. Collaborate with clergy and staff to fulfill shared goals of fostering enriching Jewish experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement engaging youth programs for varied age groups

• Enrich Shabbat and holiday celebrations for children

• Cultivate strong relationships with families and community members

• Lead volunteer training and involvement in youth programs

• Ensure safety compliance in all program activities

Requirements:

• 1-3 years in Jewish communal work

• Knowledge of conservative Jewish values and traditions

• Effective communication and organizational skills

• Creativity in program development

• Independent work capability with collaborative spirit
