With the functional support, guidance and supervision provided by the Program Manager, the Float Nurse carries out nursing services as outlined by the Dilico Health & Wellness Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications

• A degree in BScN
• Provide proof of CNO and RNAO registrations
• Two (2) years’ experience in nursing assessments, advanced nursing/practical skills and home and community care skills an asset
• Two (2) years’ experience working in a First Nation community or equivalent organization
• Candidates without the specific education qualifications and where the position does not require certified qualification to practice, but who possess an appropriate combination of experience and other academic qualifications will also be considered.
• Satisfactory Criminal Records Check, Vulnerable Sector Search
• Provide evidence of registration with the College of Nurse and RNAO
• Must have a valid Class “G” Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle
• $1,000,000 liability vehicle insurance
• Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours
• Provide on-call service on a rotational basis, provide coverage when necessary
