East, a 40-bed surgical unit, you will deliver post-operative care for patients undergoing advanced surgical procedures. Your responsibilities will include wound care, patient assessment, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. This role requires acute surgical experience and engagement in ongoing education and audits to enhance your nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide post-surgical care for diverse surgical patients
• Conduct patient assessments and plan education accordingly
• Collaborate effectively as a team member
• Manage wound and ostomy care, including vacuum-assisted closures
• Engage in continuous professional development and self-evaluation
Requirements:
• Certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Recent acute surgical nursing experience
• Effective communication skills with patients and colleagues
• Eligible to work in Canada
• Commitment to nursing audits and ongoing education
